ABOUT DANCE HEALTH

As a physical therapist, I offer personalized 1:1 sessions to help dancers prevent, diagnose, and treat injuries. I also provide consultations, create customized workout programs, and offer recovery sessions. Whether in-person or online, I am dedicated to supporting dancers in their journey to optimal physical health and performance.

My story began as most do: I began ballet at age 3, and went on to dance professionally before retiring with injuries at age 23. I also have 20 years experience teaching dance of all levels. Along the way, I earned my AS in Natural Sciences with highest honors, BS in Kinesiology: Exercise Science Magna Cum Laude, and my Doctorate in Physical Therapy Suma Cum Laude. 

I have been practicing physical therapy for five years and have experience with sports PT, holistic PT, and special interest in performing arts therapy, strength and conditioning, geriatric falls prevention, osteoporosis management, and more.

My approach to PT includes hands-on therapy as needed (which can look like mobilizations, neuromuscular re-education, chiropractic-like adjustments and soft tissue work), followed up by personalized stretches and exercises to help you reach your goals. I have a special love for properly-dosed weightlifting and take a holistic and functional approach to creating your program.

In my personal time, I enjoy adventures with my 7yo daughter, 5yo step-son and partner. I love art in all forms, meditation, study energy healing, personal development and philosophy.
